T he “entrepreneurial mindset” is at the core of what Randal Schober teaches his students in Point Loma Nazarene University’s accredited MBA programs. “You’re solving a problem by looking at the world di€erently,” says Schober, the former executive director of SurfAid. “There’s opportunity around us all the time to create value, but are we seeking it? This mindset can be implemented into every aspect of your life.” This philosophy holds especially true in the workplace. Students should develop themselves into what he calls “intrapreneurs.” PLNU values this perspective so much that they’re now o€ering an Entrepreneurial Mindset Scholarship for those striving to bring an entrepreneurial vision to their workplace. “Even within a business you want to continually create value. If you do so, you’ll increase the company’s ability to be sustainable in the global economy and become invaluable to your employer,” he says. “There’s no normal anymore—if you’re normal you will be replaced by someone who’s cheaper, robotics, or AI. You need to be able to redeˆne yourself as a value- creating employee.” 619-329-6799 | pointloma.edu/plnumba RANDAL SCHOBER, ED.D Professor of Management : Entrepreneurship Point Loma Nazarene University “There’s opportunity around us all the time to create value, but are we seeking it? ” PARTNER CONTENT
