Dive into San Diego's spookiest season with these Halloween-themed bites, sips, events, and more

Café 222

Their Boo-Berry Pancakes come as a trio with fresh blueberries and the café’s signature pancake batter and The Great Pumpkin Waffle sets you in the holiday spirit with fall spices topped with toasted pecans and fresh whipped cream.

Kettner Exchange

Foodies can head on over for a select five-course dinner hosted by Executive Chef Brian Redzikowski and Chef Nick DeVries. The al fresco themed event will take place on the rooftop of neighboring Devil’s Dozen, where guests can indulge in spooky creations and beverage pairings such as Creature from the Black Lagoon, a grilled octopus and seaweed salad dish, along with the Great Divide Oktoberfest Lager.

Le Parfait Paris

When Halloweens bite sized treats don’t cut it indulge in Le Parfait Paris’ classic French pastries with their assortment of macarons, eclairs and crafted deserts. These sweet treats come with a Halloween twist topped with chocolate skulls and jack-o-lanterns.

The fall festivities abound in this restaurant’s cocktail and dining menu. Take a sip on their Voodoo Zombie cocktail with activated charcoal or their PumpKing Black Bean Soup and Jacked Quesadilla all month long.

Halloween at the Station

Broswe the storefronts at Liberty Station as shops will be participating in a Trick-or-Treat extravaganza complete with a costume contest, arts and crafts, a play area, live entertainment, and a Hollywood car show. The celebration is partnering with San Diego Comic Art Gallery and Comickaze Comic Books to offer free comics at this family affair.

Halloween at The Village

Put on your best zombie garb and roam the shops like the undead in The Village Center for sweet treats in this Trick-or-Treat event. Up the costume and the performance to Walking Dead levels, snap a picture, and enter you and your child into their costume contest for a chance to win a grand prize.

The restaurant within Rancho Bernardo Inn has conjured up a fall treat with its Spooky Smoked Fig cocktail. The experimental cocktail infuses Maker’s Mark whiskey, fig, rosemary syrup and topped with a charred rosemary sprig.

Bankers Hill Bar + Restaurant

There’s more of a reason to sip into the night as this neighborhood eatery will extend happy hour from 4:30-7 p.m. in what they call “Hallow-Hour”. To kick off the evening this restaurant has brewed a blood red sangria with Sangre de Los Muertos. Find mezcal, port, and orange in this bloody drink along with a few bites from deviled eggs to cheeseburger sliders off the Hallow-Hour menu.

Nason’s Beer Hall

As soon as the doors open to this German inspired beer hall, guests can take advantage of the all day happy hour exclusively for Halloween night. Enjoy craft beer and candy pairings ($6 each) such as candy corn with Radeberger Pilsner and Kit Kat with Karl Strauss Red Trolly as well as a 9 p.m. costume contest where top looks can get you a night’s stay at the Pendry.

Officine Buona Forchetta

The spin-off to South Park’s Italian-style trattoria is serving the Spezie di Zucca (“pumpkin spice” in Italian) cocktail made with cinnamon–infused vodka, fresh pumpkin juice, and Amaretto di Saronno. The spirit-forward sipper is topped with Amaretto cookie crumbs and served in a mini pumpkin with a cube of dry ice.

Monster Bash

The annual block party will bring more than 15,000 partygoers to five themed stages with DJ sets in genres from Trap and House to EDM and Hip Hop, a performance by Juicy J, and a $5,000 costume contest. After the bash take your costume and head to the “Heroes vs. Villains” after party at Fluxx nightclub.

Pendry Hotel

The Pendry Hotel’s Oxford Social Club, Pool House, and Lionfish restaurant are joining forces for a Halloween ball on October 28. One ticket gets you access to all three venues with an open bar, passed appetizers from 8–9 p.m., and a special, to-be-announced guest performance. On Halloween night, Oxford Social Club is hosting a costume contest for up to $10,000 in cash and prizes.
